Timothee Chalamet in Minnesota for Movie Screening
It's fun when we get to have a little bit of Hollywood in our Midwestern neck of the woods. Every so often we will hear of celebrities that will stop in to small town busineses on their way through to somewhere else. Even if you are not one of those people who enjoys seeing celebrities, it's still kind of cool.
Timothee Chalamet has stopped in Minnesota a few times in the past couple of years. The best one that I heard about was when he made a surprise appearance at a high school in Hibbing. He was there to first, surprise the drama students, and also to get more of a feel for some of the life of Bob Dylan.
Chalamet is portraying Dylan in the biopic "A Complete Unknown". And he has been working very hard to get the life, sound and look of Bob Dylan from the 60s as perfect as possible. And yes, in the movie you will hear a lot of Dylan's music, all sung by Chalamet. And Bob Dylan has even said that he is "very believable".
Anytime an actor is playing the part of someone that is real, and still alive, it's a good thing if you can get the endorsement of the actual person.
Yesterday, there was a screening of the movie in Minneapolis for local VIPs, some local musicians and also University of Minnesota students.
From FOX 9 News:
Chalamet said he was attracted to the role because of Dylan’s boldness.
Once he arrived, he wasted no time snapping photos and signing autographs.
The rest of us will be able to see the film when it officially comes to theatres on Christmas Day, December 25th. I am absolutely looking forward to this film.
