
Minnesota Man Sentenced for Major Drug and Gun Bust
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A major drug bust has landed a Minnesota man behind bars.

A news release issued on Wednesday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota says the prison sentence and conviction are the result of a 2023 drug bust.
Law enforcement found the deadly pills during searches of a storage unit and home in the Brainerd Lakes area.
Brainerd, MN Man Sentenced to Prison for Major Fentanyl and Cocaine Bust
The news release indicates 28-year-old Dazaughn Ellis West of Brainerd received his prison sentence last week.

Court records say authorities found 2.8 pounds worth of fentanyl pills in a storage unit in Brainerd registered to West while executing a search warrant on August 1, 2023.
Law enforcement says there were 13,000 to 15,000 pressed fentanyl pills inside of the unit.
Investigators also executed a search warrant at West’s home in Brainerd and seized an additional 150 grams of fentanyl pills, a “distributable amount of cocaine, a loaded semi-automatic pistol and .22 caliber rifle.
The news release does not give a specific amount of cocaine found at West’s home.
West has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, the news release says. His time behind bars will be followed by five years of supervised release.
