Young Faribault Man Identified as Murder Victim in Minnesota Amazon Warehouse Shooting
Lakeville, MN (KROC-AM News)- The man shot and killed at the Amazon fulfillment center in Lakeville over the weekend was a Faribault resident.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office Sunday afternoon.
Lakeville Police Officers responded to the deadly shooting around 4:00 Saturday morning.
Responding officers found an adult man in the parking lot with a suspected gunshot wound.
Officers, along with other emergency responders, attempted lifesaving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Medical Examiner: Faribault Man Killed in Shooting Outside of Amazon Warehouse
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the shooting victim as 22-year-old Ahmed Ibrahim Cariif.
The autopsy found he died of a gunshot wound to the chest and indicated the manner of his death was homicide.
Authorities say a 24-year-old man was found near the victim and was taken into custody. The news release says it appears the fatal shooting resulted from an altercation between the two men.
Investigators are continuing to work to determine their relationship to each other, what led to the deadly altercation, and their connection to the Amazon Fulfillment Center.
Officials say a firearm was recovered at the scene. Lakeville Police have not yet released the name of the suspect.
