Lawrenceburg, KY (KROC-AM News)- A southern Minnesota woman lost her life in a motorcycle crash in Kentucky over the weekend.

Kentucky State Police say the deadly crash happened shortly before 4:00 local time on Sunday afternoon. 

She was the only person involved in the fatality.

61-Year-Old Faribault Woman Identified as Victim of Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Kentucky

The deadly crash occurred about 35 miles west of Lexinton, KY. Kentucky authorities have identified the fatal crash victim as Carol Jean Olson of Faribault

She was 61 years old. Officials indicated she died at the scene. 

Preliminary Crash Investigation Indicates Loss of Control

A preliminary investigation indicates Olson was traveling south when she lost control of the three-wheeled motorcycle she was driving as she navigated a sharp curve. 

Olson was then thrown from the motorcycle and died after hitting the base of a road sign, Kentucky State Police say.

Authorities say the investigation into the deadly crash is pending.
