Update: Authorities ID Family Involved in Fatal Shooting in Freeborn County
Alden, MN (KROC-AM News)- One person is dead and two others are recovering from wounds suffered in a rural southern Minnesota shooting.

One of the three gunshot victims was flown to Rochester. So far limited information is available.
A news release issued by the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the report of a disturbance followed by a shooting shortly before 5:15 Wednesday afternoon.

45-Year-Old Man Killed, Man & Woman Wounded in Shooting at Rural Property in Freeborn County
The deadly shooting occurred at a home located about 14 miles northwest of Albert Lea at 23480 630 Ave in rural Alden.
The man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest was taken from the scene by ground ambulance to Alden before he was stabilized and flown to Rochester, the news release says.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly before 8:00 Wednesday evening, authorities say.
The news release says he was 45 years old. His name has not yet been released.
The man and woman with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds were taken by ground ambulance for further care.

Authorities say they live at the residence. Their names have not been released.
Deputies detained a man at the scene for questioning and released him. Authorities say all four of the adults at the scene are related and that there is not a risk to public safety.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office plans to release more information on Thursday.
