Highway 52 Southbound Closed North of Rochester Due To Crash
(UPDATE). The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the highway was reopened around 8:30 p.m.
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM news) - A section of southbound Highway 52 north of Rochester is closed this evening due to a crash.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says traffic is being detoured off the highway just south of Oronoco due to a crash. Reports indicate a truck crashed into the 85th Street overpass bridge, which is being evaluated by MnDOT inspectors.
The Minnesota State Patrol has not yet released any information about the crash.
Highway 52 is closed between the 100th Street interchange just south of Oronoco and the 75th Street interchange on the north edge of Rochester. Traffic is being detoured off Highway 52 onto 100th Street Northwest and then west to Olmsted County Road 3. Motorists are then routed back to Highway 52 after traveling east on 75th Street.
As of 6:30 PM, it is unknown when the section of southbound Highway 52 will reopen.
