
Stolen SUV Rams Freeborn County Squad During Pursuit
Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in Freeborn County say one suspect is in custody and law enforcement is still looking for two additional people in connection with a wild high-speed pursuit last night.
The Albert Lea Police Department is reporting that the pursuit began after officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle shortly before 8 PM. The SUV had been taken from a home in Albert Lea the previous day.

A news release says the responding officers initiated a traffic stop, but the driver of the stolen vehicle sped away and raced through residential streets before leaving the city and traveling north to Clarks Grove. During the pursuit, a Freeborn County Sheriff's squad car was rammed in a collision that caused significant damage to both vehicles.
The statement indicates the fleeing SUV eventually became stuck in a field, where the three occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot. That led to an extensive search effort and the apprehension of a female suspect. Freeborn County.
