Where to Attend Precinct Caucuses in Olmsted County Tonight
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Today is precinct caucus day in Minnesota.
The neighborhood political meetings mark the beginning of the election season in Minnesota, as those attending the sessions begin the process of endorsing candidates for seats in the state Legislature and statewide elected offices. The November election ballot in Minnesota will include every seat in the Minnesota House and Senate, along with governor and other constitutional offices.
Political parties also use precinct caucuses to assemble the “planks” that become party platforms adopted at state conventions later this summer.
Locally, the Olmsted County Republican Party will hold caucus meetings at seven sites:
- John Marshall High School in Rochester
- Stewartville High School
- Byron High School
- Dover-Eyota High School
- Chatfield High School
- Oronoco Community Center

Olmsted County Democrats have scheduled precinct caucus meetings at four locations:

For other political parties and locations in southeastern Minnesota, precinct caucus locations can be found through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Caucus Finder website.
