
Rochester Interchange Sees Two Injury Crashes Within 30 Minutes
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two people were transported to St. Marys Hospital following separate crashes at the same highway interchange in Rochester this morning.
According to the State Patrol, the crashes occurred about a half an hour apart on southbound Highway 52 near the exit ramp to westbound Highway 14. Slick conditions were reported in that area when the State Patrol responded to both crashes.
Around 7 AM, an SUV and car, both traveling south on Highway 52 collided and the driver of the SUV was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. She was identified as 40-year-old Laura Williams of Rochester.

The other driver, 65-year-old Thomas Gold of Red Wing, was not injured. The State Patrol says both motorists were wearing seatbelts.
The other collision also involved two vehicles traveling south on Highway 14. It was reported just before 6:30 AM.
The State Patrol says an SUV driven by 54-year-old Nina McCombs of Rochester and a car driven by 22-year-old Maggie McCullough of Rochester collided. They were not hurt, but a passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
She was identified as 18-year-old Sabrina McCombs of Rochester. The State Patrol says all of the occupants of the two vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
