
Rochester Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Outside of Apartment Complex
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting.

It happened Thursday morning. So far details are limited as the investigation remains active and ongoing, according to a news release issued by the department.

Police had alerted members of the public to the large law enforcement presence Thursday morning. They asked anyone in the area of the scene to call 911 if they see suspicious activity.
Man Shot and Killed Outside Rochester Apartment Building, Rochester Police Investigating
The news release says a man was shot and killed outside of an apartment building in the 1000 block of 41st St. in northwest Rochester, which is near the police department's north station and Watson Soccer Fields.
Officers responded to the report of gunfire around 11:30 Thursday morning. The officers provided life-saving measures, but the gunshot victim died at the scene.
So far no arrests have been announced. Other details about the suspect and shooting are not yet available.
"This is an open, active investigation, and developing situation. We will provide more information when we can," the news release says .
