ST. JOSEPH (WJON News) -- There is a summer food drive for the food shelf in St. Joseph.

Throughout the month of July, the St. Joseph Community Food Shelf is hosting a special food drive.  They say in the summer months they see increased community need and serve additional clients, but donations tend to level off.  The name for the drive is "Christmas in July".

Right now, they are most in need of breakfast syrup, peanut butter, canned fruit, feminine products, toilet paper, baby wipes, and diapers size 5 and 6.  They also welcome monetary contributions.

The St. Joseph Community Food Shelf is at 18 Birch Street.  Their hours are 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Donations can be dropped off or mailed to P.O. 121 in St. Joseph.
