Forecast Now Available for the 4th of July in Minnesota

This 4th of July, AAA is guessing that about 72.2 million people in America will be traveling.  Hitting the road to see family, having a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, or seeing an amazing fireworks display are common answers for the three-day weekend ahead.

Before you finalize your plans for the 4th of July, here's what to anticipate with what Mother Nature is planning to bring to Minnesota for the day.

Weather Alert: Here's What To Expect On The 4th of July in Minnesota

Americans wait an entire year to celebrate the 4th of July and the highlight are the fireworks!  Before you pack the bag with all of the snacks and find the best spot to see the lights in the sky, here's what the National Weather Service says is the expected forecast throughout the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Austin - high will be about 88 degrees during the day.  Low at night will reach around 72 degrees.  The chance of showers and thunderstorms at night is 40% after 1:00 am.

Albert Lea - enjoy a gorgeous, sunny day with highs of 88 degrees.  Heat index does have a chance of reaching 95 during the day.  The evening has a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1:00 am.

Faribault - the sun will be shining bright during the day with a high of 88.  Friday night after 1:00 am, the chance of showers and thunderstorms is 50%.

Red Wing - the day will be sunny and have a high of 91.  Friday night, there will be a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, but not until after 1:00 am.  Low at night will be about 73.

Rochester - high near 89 on the 4th of July with heat index up to 95.  Friday night, expect a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1:00 am.  The temperature will reach a low of 74.

Minneapolis - 4th of July during the day will see a high of 91, along with sunshine.  The heat index could reach 97 degrees.  At night, there is a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, most likely after 1:00 am.

Duluth - sunshine will appear during the day with a high of 84.  The evening also has a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1:00 am and a low of 70 degrees.

St. Cloud - sunny skies will be around for most of the day with temps as high as 90.  However, during the day, there is a 20% chance of showers or thunderstorms after 1:00 pm.  Friday night, temperatures will drop to 71, and the chance of precipitation increases to 80% after 10:00 pm.
