Unfortunately, shoplifting is everywhere, especially at places like Minnesota-based Target. They may have great deals, but some items still get stolen quite a bit.

Many People Have Shoplifted in Their Life

There's a crazy stat from Lending Tree that says 3 in 10 Americans have admitted to shoplifted at some point in their life.

Some of those are people who are shoplifting for fun or something ridiculous, but many say the reason they're shoplifting is because the prices are too expensive and it's things they need.

Lending Tree writes, "Among those who say they shoplifted in the past year, 90% cite inflation and the broader economy as contributing factors." That's so sad!

Why You Should Never Steal from Target

As we know, stealing is bad. But in case that wasn't reason enough to not do it, Paypath says Target is the WORST place to shoplift from. They may actually be building a case against you without you knowing it if you shoplift from them.

Essentially, if you steal at any Target, anywhere in the country, they're quite possibly building up a case against you.

I guess Target runs one of the top-rated forensic labs, according to Daily Dot, and, according to ex-Target employee and TikToker Kailtlynd, "Once the store knows who you are, they’ll simply let you continue to steal merchandise until you’ve stolen enough to be charged with a felony." Woah!
