Free Replacement Act Announced for Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Show

The Minnesota State Fair starts Thursday. Just a few weeks ago, Rod Stewart had to cancel his Grandstand show (and other upcoming shows) due to health reasons. With the fair being so close to that announcement we weren't sure what was going to happen to that Grandstand slot.

On Friday a replacement was finally announced and it's a pretty big deal. Hairball will be the replacement act and it's a FREE show.

Replacement Act Announced for Rod Stewart Show at Minnesota State Fair

When it was announced only two weeks before the fair that Rod Stewart's Grandstand show was being canceled I was really skeptical about them filling the spot with anyone else.

In a statement from the fair about the cancelation, they said the updated information about a replacement concert would be coming.

And sure enough, they delivered.

Hairball Performing Free Show at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand

On Tuesday, September 1st at 7 PM you can see Minnesota's own Hairball perform a free concert at the Grandstand!

I've never seen Hairball myself but I always have heard great things about them. Here's what the State Fair has to say about them:
