It's been a summer tradition in Rochester for over 30 years, and we now know which acts are set to play the Riverside Music Series this year.

These days, there aren't too many venues that bring in nationally recognized artists alongside regional and local opening acts from a wide range of musical genres, and put on a series of concerts... for free, right?

Rochester’s Riverside Music Series Has Been Free Since 1992

But that's what's been happening on the banks of the Zumbro River, behind Mayo Civic Center at Mayo Park in Rochester, ever since the country swing group, Asleep At The Wheel, played the very first free Down By The Riverside concert back in 1992.

And again this year, the popular Riverside Music Series is back with another lineup of free shows that help celebrate summer on five Sunday nights here in Minnesota's Med City. Avital Rabinowitz is Director of Rochester Public Music, and said in a release,

These concerts invite people to spend a summer evening together in Mayo Park, whether they come to hear a favorite artist, discover someone new, or simply enjoy being part of the atmosphere. That mix of great music, community, and summer-in-the-park ease is what keeps people coming back year after year.

2026 Riverside Music Series Lineup Announced For Rochester

The Riverside Music Series is set to kick off its season on Sunday, July 12, and will run through Sunday, August 9th with five shows this year. All concerts are free and open to the public. Here's who's playing Mayo Park this summer:
