Here in the North Star State, we may be known for being 'Minnesota Nice,' but this Twin Cities suburb didn’t get the memo. A national survey ranking the snobbiest cities in America just called out this well-known city, and Minnesotans probably won’t be shocked by the result.

There are lots of lists floating around these days. Some, like the Best Places To Live in the U.S., are a list on which you'd like your city to be included. While others, like this list of the snobbiest cities in the U.S., are some of which you might wish your city were skipped.

First, however, let's define just what being 'snobby' actually means. According to Dictionary.com, 'snobby' is an adjective, which is defined as: condescending, patronizing, or socially exclusive; snobbish.

According to The Happiness Function, this list was put together and compiled by a popular vote of various cities from across the country. Once all the votes were counted, comments tallied, and the results compiled, these 14 cities stood out as the most snobby places in America.

Here's what the survey had to say about Edina:

Edina is considered one of the higher-income cities within the Twin Cities region. Over the years, Edina has gained a reputation for being condescending towards people outside the city. Its residents are called cake eaters, after the “Let them eat cake” quote attributed to Marie Antoinette.
