I can't say I've ever looked at a jail cell and thought, "How cool would it be to sleep there?"

But then I found this place.

Tucked away in the tiny town of Wykoff, about 40 miles south of Rochester, is a historic jailhouse that's been turned into one of the most unique Airbnbs in Minnesota. And honestly? It's kind of awesome.

According to the listing, the Wykoff Jail Haus was built in the late 1800s and is actually owned by the city of Wykoff. Instead of letting it sit empty, they transformed it into a one-of-a-kind overnight stay.

And yes, you can actually sleep in the original jail cells.

The listing says the bunk beds are "narrow, but still comfy." Which immediately made me think, "Perfect. That's where the kids are sleeping."

The whole place leans into the theme, too. The barred windows are still there, and even the bedding is striped. Talk about amazing photo ops!

It's definitely not huge, but honestly, that's kind of part of the charm. It sleeps four and has one small bathroom. They've done a nice job making it feel comfortable without losing the historic feel. There's Wi-Fi, a TV, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and even a little dining area for two.

They also added an outdoor patio with a fire pit, and if you're bringing the family, there's a playground and picnic area right behind the Jail Haus.

You're booking it because how many people can say they spent the weekend in a real Minnesota jail?

And when you're not pretending to serve your sentence, you're just minutes from Forestville State Park, trout fishing, bike trails, cave tours, kayaking, tubing, and plenty of other small-town adventures.
