St. Cloud’s Green Mill Is Transforming Its Dining Space

A Downtown St. Cloud dining staple is undergoing a major facelift.

Green Mill is currently open only for take-out or delivery orders, as their massive dining area is under construction.

There were several folks hard at work tearing things down when I stopped by on Thursday. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's all done.. I thought Green Mill had a pretty great layout to begin with, so it's exciting to imagine what they may have in mind.

For what it's worth, the pizza was just as delicious as always!

Green Mill opened its first location in St. Paul in 1935. The location, which still exists, is the oldest licensed pub in St. Paul. In 1975 the owners discovered deep dish pizza in Chicago and immediately added it to their menu, where it has been a staple for over 50 years.
