[Listen] AM Minnesota John Dvorak Rice County Fair

Rice County Fair manager John Dvorak was my guest on today's AM Minnesota program. It was fun to talk about the 2021 Rice County Fair. John put it well, we have to go forward with our plants assuming we will have a fair this summer. The Rice County Fair Board will be meeting again in January with a lot of the planning already done. Many performers, food vendors and acts have actually already been booked.

Last summer when the 2020 Rice County Fair was canceled John told me that they had made a down payment with many performers. They all said they would honor the payment this summer at the 2021 Rice County Fair. The new bathrooms on the Rice County Fairgrounds will be a nice improvement. Plus, John said the fair had received a grant and a major donation to build a new swine barn on the Rice County Fairgrounds.

There will be discussion at the January board meeting to discuss finances and doing some fundraising to build a new swine barn. wouldn't it be great to have a new swine barn at the 2021 Rice County Fair? Click on the link above and listen to John talk about the 2021 Rice County Fair.
