May Youth Camps In Faribault
Faribault Park and Rec is offering a couple of youth camps during the month of May.
Forges 4 to 5 there is a Sport Sampler Camp that focuses on experiencing different sports and activities, meeting new friends and teamwork. Kids can work on balance techniques, catching, kicking, passing and following directions. Participants will learn basic skills for soccer, kickball, track and field, basketball, volleyball, badminton and gym games.
This class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Community Center gym, May 7-23 from 4:15-5 pm. Cost is $32 and there is a maximum of 14 kids allowed in the class.
For ages 5 to 14, there is a track and field class, where kids can participate in running, standing long-jump and softball throw events. This class meets on Wednesdays May 16-June 6 from 6:30-8:15 pm at the high school track. Cost is $23. Dave Wieber FHS Track Coach and Faribault Park and Rec staff are instructors.
