Minnesota Livestock producers have until November 17, 2021 to apply for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Growth, research, and Innovation (AGRI) Livestock Investment Grant Program. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture expects to award $1.3 million while using a competitive process. If there are funds still available there will be a second round in the winter/spring of 2022.

The grant funds can be used for facilities, infrastructure and equipment. Livestock producers can apply for up to 10 percent of the project's total cost up to a maximum to $25,000. Each livestock operation can receive up to a lifetime maximum of $50,000. Livestock producers can be eligible for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Livestock Grant Program if you have been invoiced and paid for all the project and services after January 1, 2022.

Remember, the deadline is Wednesday November 17, 2021 at 4:00 pm for your application to be considered. Livestock producers are encouraged to apply online on the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's website.
