The Medford girls' basketball team blew out Mabel-Canton 73-34 Thursday night to improve to 9-0 on the season. The Tigers face a busy, challenging week next week against three teams with winning records. Tri-City United (7-3) heads to Medford Monday, January 7, followed by a game at Maple River (7-3) Tuesday and a home game with Blooming Prairie (6-3) Friday, January 11.

The Tigers are averaging over a 26-point margin of victory and are tops in the south subsection of Section 2AA with a QRF ranking of 12th. Lake Crystal-Welcome Memorial is 10-0 and rated 23rd in QRF. The teams do not meet during the regular season.
