Medical Emergency Leads To Felony Drug Charges
A Mankato man is now facing felony drug charges after first responders arrived at his residence and found drugs and paraphernalia lying out in plain sight on November 12th.
According to Southern Minnesota News, deputies from the Blue Earth County Sherrif’s office were at the home of 30-year-old Blaize Critzer responding to a medical emergency when they discovered the suspected drugs.
Officers on the scene then contacted the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force, which found containers of suspected marijuana wax, a digital scale, and plastic sandwich bags on a table. There was also a large jar of marijuana found on the floor of one room. A witness at the home confirmed that the items belonged to Critzer.
A search warrant was then issued and officers found five guns, several containers of marijuana totaling 480.5 grams, 35.2 grams of sticky brown material that later tested positive for marijuana, a plastic bag with a brown marijuana powder that weighed nearly 45 grams, over $1,500 cash, and marijuana smoking apparatuses.
Critzer has been charged with felony counts of 5th-degree drug sales and possession in Blue Earth County Court.
