Time once again for our adoptable animal of the week, and this week we are featuring Mindy. Mindy, who was adopted early on in life, has recently come back to the Mower County Humane Society, and she is now looking for a new home, one that we all long for, a quiet and easy-going home. Could this home be yours?

Our friend Michaela Tews, a volunteer with the Mower County Humane Society has more information on Mindy.

Mindy was adopted as a kitten in 2015 and has been returned to MCHS because she really is not happy being in a busy home with 4 young kids. She is looking for a quiet, easy-going home.

Mindy will only be adopted out to a family that will only keep her indoors, winter is really no time to be outdoors. Remember that to adopt a pet from the Mower County Humane Society, you must be 21 years old.

Mindy's adoption fee is $50. To see Mindy or any of the other great cats at the Mower County Humane Society, head here and complete and submit our online application. The volunteers at the shelter will then review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.

All of our cats have tested neg for feline leukemia, FIV, are spayed or neutered, and are current on shots.

As is customary, here is an update on another animal from the Mower County Humane Society.

This one doesn't need too much information added to it after you see Emmie's HUGE smile. Emmie was recently adopted out to her forever family, and she clearly was very happy.

With the holiday season coming up, consider adopting a shelter pet rather than purchasing a pet from a set store or breeder. Pets in shelters are often just as incredible as those found in stores, and you'll be forever impressed with how much these adopted animals come around into their own after a short period of time, and give you years of entertainment and companionship.
