There are over 4 million licensed drivers in the state of Minnesota.  And if you are one of them, there is a really good chance that you've encountered another driver on the road that...let's just say...didn't have the best driving habits.

I love the "Minnesota Nice" that happens at a 4-way stop.  It is the persons turn to the right of you, but they waive you on and want you to go.  That IS NOT how a 4-way stop works.  Kind gesture, but not how the law was written.

That type of driving behavior annoys quite a few people, but it did not make the list of the top driving pet peeves in our state.  If you are curious what made the list, I've got the top picks below based on a recent article by LendingTree.

The Worst Driving Behaviors – Are You Guilty of These 5?

One huge issue that Minnesotans have is obeying the speed limit.  In 2024, a special enforcement campaign from May until September saw over 68,000 speeding tickets issued by state agencies.  What's even more alarming about that number is that several drivers were putting the pedal to the metal and were going over 125 mph.  There were several instances of these throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area and even in Rochester.
