With the Mega Millions creeping back up to another billion-dollar jackpot, three people in Minnesota have yet to claim their $1 million prize.

The next drawing for the Mega Millions is coming up on Tuesday (1/10/23) with a jackpot of $1.1 billion. This will be the fourth time in just over four years that the jackpot has topped $1 billion. If someone wins on Tuesday, it would be the third-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

This got me wondering if anyone has unclaimed winnings in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Turns out, there are. There was Mega Millions ticket sold back in July at the Casey's General Store in Fridley, Minnesota. The store is located at 7295 University Avenue North East. The prize for this ticket is $1 million.

A ticket worth $1,821,926 from the Minnesota Lottery's Gopher 5 drawing was sold at a Speedway in St. Joseph, Minnesota. This ticket was sold on December 16th, 2022. The Speedway can be found at 27 West Birch Street.

The last unclaimed $1 million prize was from a New Year's Day raffle drawing. This ticket was sold at a Kwik Trip in Oak Park Heights. You can find this Kwik Trip at 12585 58th Street North.

There are even more unclaimed prizes from both lottery tickets and scratch-off tickets. You can see the full list of Minnesota Lottery's unclaimed prizes of over $25,000 here. Just a heads up for the scratch game prizes, you only have one year from the date a game closes to claim the prize.
