Last September the United Way of Olmsted County launched an incentive-based contest called the "Give United Drawing" with a grand prize of a 2-year lease on a new car.

The United Way says the drawing "was designed to increase United Way of Olmsted County donations to help improve the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Olmsted County." Everyone that made a donation to the United Way during the contest period or sent in a 100-word essay about what they enjoy about living in Olmsted County was entered to win.

United Way of Olmsted County "Give United Drawing" Winner Has Been Announced

Jamie Urch from Byron was selected as the winner and will receive a 2-year lease on a vehicle from Rochester Motor Cars. The timing was perfect for Urch who needed a new car. She told KTTC, “I currently have a Sienna minivan that has over 200,000 miles, and we were just talking about needing to change up,”

In their Facebook post, the United Way explains that Jamie is a "longtime supporter and advocate of United Way of Olmsted County." Urch has donated for several years and feels that doing so is a great way to help the community.

The contest is over, but the United Way of Olmsted County is still accepting donations to help people in our community. Jennifer Teske, Vice President of Resource Development at United Way of Olmsted County stated, “Every dollar, no matter the size, adds up to make a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and families, to ensure that our community is a place where all people can thrive.”
