That is right! Aqua Expeditions, a recognized global leader in luxury small-ship expeditions, polled 2,100 Americans on which local natural landmarks they would most like to visit. From these answers, Aqua Expeditions compiled America’s 250 favorite natural landmarks from the national survey. And with that, Harmony’s Niagara Cave, and 4 other Minnesota landmarks were included in the top 250 list.

Cherry Digital shared the latest information on what Aqua Expedition has collected, and it warms my heart that Harmony Minnesota made it to number 29! If you have not heard of Niagara Cave it is a cave you can visit and have a family-owned business guide you through the underground oasis. As described on niagaracave.com, you can “witness beautiful passageways sculpted by an ancient underground stream, an active stream and waterfall, and 450-million-year-old fossils!”

As explained by Cherry Digital “the cave is approximately 200 feet deep, and features include an underground stream, 60-foot waterfall, fossils, stalactites, and stalagmites.” So, if you have not checked this cave out, you definitely need to sometime soon because they close for the year on October 30th.  And as mentioned before there were 4 other Minnesota landmarks that made it to the top 250! This would include #179 as Devil's Kettle, #194 as Gooseberry Falls, #195 as Kathio Site, and #223 as Mountain Iron Mine.

In addition to this, Cherry Digital shared the top 10 natural landmarks people would most like to visit. This includes:

  1. Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains National Park
  2. New York’s Niagara Falls
  3. Missouri’s Elephant Rocks
  4. Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park
  5. California’s Redwood National and State Parks
  6. Hawaii’s Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
  7. Hawaii’s Hanauma Bay
  8. Iowa's Pikes Peak State Park
  9. Arizona's The Grand Canyon
  10. Hawaii's Waikīkī Beach

And if you were wondering what are the top states with natural landmarks people would like to visit, that list includes:

  1. Hawaii
  2. Tennessee
  3. California
  4. New York
  5. Missouri
  6. Wyoming
  7. Maryland
  8. Florida
  9. Kentucky
  10. Nevada

While I wish Minnesota made it to the top 10, it is still cool to see what states did, and has given me an idea of where to travel! In addition to this, Aqua Expeditions created an interactive quiz so that readers can test their own international geographical knowledge, which you can find here.
