Montgomery Mourns After Police Officer Unexpectedly Passes Away Monday
A small town in the Northwest corner of Le Sueur County is mourning the loss of an officer today. Late yesterday the City of Montgomery posted to its social media page that the city had suddenly and unexpectedly lost a police officer. Officer Bryan Tupy passed away on Monday.
Tupy primarily worked afternoons and nights with the Montgomery Police Department. Before arriving in Montgomery Tupy got his start in Le Center as a part-time officer.
Montgomery Police Chief Nathan C. Hintz wrote to the police station's Facebook page as well.
Chief Hintz's post was truly heartfelt.
Montgomery Police Officer Bryan C. Tupy #608, EOW 07.26.2021
It is with a very heavy heart I write this. Yesterday, July 26th, Montgomery Police Officer Bryan Tupy #608 passed away unexpectedly at his home. He leaves behind his wife, infant son, loving family, brothers and sisters of law enforcement, and countless friends.
Words cannot describe the emptiness we now feel at the Montgomery Police Department.
Rest easy Bryan! We will continue on, as you would want us to do!
We love and miss you. Until we meet again my friend…
Montgomery has 5 full-time police positions and 3 part-time law enforcement positions that cover the town of roughly 3,000 residents.
