Movies This Weekend

New movies in the theaters today include "Mr. Peabody & Sherman," about a super-inteligent dog & his young human friend. Based on a cartoon introduced in the Rocky & Bulwinkle show this time traveling pair must set everything right after Sherman rips a hole in the universe with the WABAC time machine. I loved this cartoon as a kid, so I'll probably go with my wife. The movie stars the voices of Ty Burrell, Max Charles, Ariel Winter, Stephen Colbert, Leslie Mann, Patrick Warburton, Stanley Tucci, Allison Janney & Lake Bell. It's rated PG. Another movie hitting the theater today is "300: Rise of an Empire," basically it's 300: Part 2. The Greeks once again do battle with the Persians. I don't know how it could ever measure up to the original, I think I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix.
