While the 2020 Minnesota State Fair is cancelled, you can still enjoy your favorite summertime drinks fair style, in the iconic disposable plastic state fair cups in which you would get any cold beverage you'd order at the fair.

The fair announced via scial media Wednesday morning that they are selling sleeves of the famous fair cups for your own socially-distanced, small-scale home "Great Minnesota Get-togethers".

The cups are available in sleeves of 50 cups, coming in three different sizes. Purchases are limited to two sleeves per person, and the costs (below) include sales tax.

  • 50-cup sleeve of 12-ounce cups: $12
  • 50-cup sleeve of 16-ounce cups: $14
  • 50-cup sleeve of 20-ounce cups: $16

If you really want to snag some of these cups for yourself, there are a couple catches.

The first is that they cannot be shipped at this time. The fair's website explains that you have to purchase the sleeves of cups in-person at the State Fairgrounds Ticket Office, located at the following address: Admin Too Building, 1312 Cosgrove St., St. Paul, MN 55108.

  • Tuesday, July 14: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Friday, July 17: 9 am to 1 pm

  • Friday, July 24: 9 am to 1 pm
  • Tuesday, July 28: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Friday, July 31: 9 am to 1 pm

If you want to make a trip to the fair for your 1-2 sleeves of cups on one of the dates above, make sure to bring cash or your checkbook. The fair's website says they are only accepting cash and check payments.

The directions the fair shares to get to the admin building (via their website) are as follows:

Enter the fairgrounds off Snelling Avenue and Midway Parkway/Dan Patch Avenue through the Main Gate (#5). Turn left onto Cosgrove Street. The Admin Too Building is the first building on the left. Free parking available in the parking lot or on the street in front of the building.
