No One Seriously Injured After Vehicle Drove Into The Side Of A Hospital In Shakopee
The lone occupant of a vehicle that was driven into the side of a hospital in Shakopee suffered what were described as minor injuries, on Wednesday night, according to the Shakopee Police Department.
According to a post this morning by the Shakopee Police Department, a single vehicle drove into an outside wall of Saint Francis Hospital last night around 10:20pm. Police indicated that no one was seriously injured in the crash, as the driver suffered from what the police department described as "minor abrasions"
No one inside the hospital was injured as a result of the crash, and the Shakopee Police Department indicated that the crash did not impact patient care either. Police noted that the crash did not seem to be intentional in nature.
On March 23 at approximately 10:23 p.m., officers responded to a fire alarm call at St. Francis Regional Medical Center. Upon arrival, officers observed a black SUV crashed into the west side of the building. Officers rendered aid to the driver who suffered minor abrasions and was the only occupant in the vehicle. No one inside St. Francis was injured and no patient care was impacted.
A blood draw was taken from the driver. We do not believe this was an intentional act.
The identity of the driver was not disclosed.
