North Mankato Store Pulls Controversial Costume

HalloweenCostumes.com recently posted a number of costumes and among them was a costume that depicted Anne Frank. She of course is known for the diary she wrote while in spending much time hiding from the Nazis during the war.

According to the Star Tribune, the website screen shots showed a smiling girl wearing World War II-era clothing and a beret. A representative of the Anti Defense League's Arizona office, criticized how it trivializes the memory of Anne Frank and what she went through.

Fun.com in North Mankato runs the website. A representative stated on Sunday that the costume had been pulled and stated that the company does not just sell the clothing for Halloween, but they also sell it for school projects and plays. And they also made an apology.
