The Minnesota Basketball News latest high school girls basketball ratings include a number of area teams in their top 20 lists.

In Class 1A defending state champion Goodhue is still third behind Mountain Iron-Buhl and Maranatha Christian. Mankato Loyola is ninth, Lyle-Pacelli 10th and Mayer Lutheran 16th.

In Class 2A, defending state champion Plainview-Elgin-Millville is also ranked third, with Roseau and Sauk Centre above them. Norwood-Young America is fourth and Hayfield eighth.

In Class 3A, Kasson-Mantorville is third with Holy Angels and Alexandria above them. WInona is fourth, Northfield eighth, Waseca 12th and New Ulm 15th.

In Class 4A, Apple Valley is third, Eastview fourth and Lakeville North fifth, all out of the South Suburban Conference, with Hopkins on top and Elk River second.
