Everything You Need To Know About Owatonna’s ‘Bold & Cold Winter Festival’
I can guarantee you it'll be chilly the rest of this month and then some, but that doesn't stop us Owatonnans from enjoying the winter season. That's why we host the signature Bold and Cold Winter Festival each year.
The Bold and Cold Winter Festival is a weekend celebration that highlights the Minnesota psyche of "cold noses and warm hearts."
This is what brave Minnesotans can expect during the festival held January 28-30th.
Friday, January 28th: Family Open Swim and Log Rolling
Time: 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Location: Owatonna Middle School
Fee: $4.00 Per Person
Saturday, January 29th: Card Board Sled Races, Snow Shoe Demo and Regular Sledding
Time: 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Location: West Hills Sledding Hill
Fee: Free

Saturday, January 29th: Rock on Ice
Time: 5:30 pm-8 pm
Location: Morehouse
Fee: Free
Sunday, January 30th: Family Ice Fishing
Time: 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
Location: Lake Kohlmier
Fee: Free (Limited equipment and bait will be provided. Holes will be pre-drilled for fishing.)

Hawaiian Themed Photo Contest
Dates: January 28th-January 30th
Location: Nearest Parks and Recreation Photo Frame
Prize: 10 daily admission passes to River Springs Water Park.
