The Owatonna High School girls' hockey rallied from three one-goal deficits at Red Wing Thursday night and had multiple chances to gain the victory in overtime but settled for a 3-3 tie. The Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to four games, though their three-game winning streak ended.

The Wingers opened the scoring midway through the first period on Madison Snyder's first varsity goal. The Huskies Sydney Hunst answered back 23 seconds later with her sixth goal of the season. Red Wing's Allison Roe scored her first varsity goal later in the period for a 2-1 lead going into intermission.

OHS had some early pressure to start the second period but didn't even the game until the 9:33 mark. Maylynn Prokopec made a great move from the right boards, cut through the slot and snapped a shot past Hailey Ehlers on the power play for her 13th goal of the season. Red Wing retook the lead about five minutes later on a nice snipe into the upper corner by Emily Hart past Owatonna's Asia Bursyka for a 3-2 Wingers' lead at the break.

Owatonna quickly tied the game in the third. At 1:33 Prokopec knocked in a rebound off a shot from Hunst to make the game 3-3. With the score tied Owatonna had two power play chances followed by one for the Wingers. Regulation ended at 3-3.

The Huskies had strong possession time in the overtime with a number of great scoring chances but weren't able to finish it off. OHS had the shooting advantage 36-26. The game was an entertaining back-and-forth contest throughout the evening.
