Heidi Nelson, Executive Director of the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault told AM Minnesota listeners on KDHL today they are very close to achieving their fundraising goal.

It's called the 100 Club.  $2,500 gets you a lifetime membership at the Paradise so you don't have to pay yearly dues.

The goal is to get 100 people to become members so the Paradise can raise the $250,000 needed to receive a match from the City of Faribault and pay off their mortgage.

Nelson stated, "We are just a smidge away (from the goal). We don't have quite 100 people yet, so if people are interested in becoming a member they should do so."

"You get the satisfaction of knowing you helped us pay off that mortgage.  Then we are going to do a little art piece in our lobby that will have all of the donors names put on that art piece."

"We're excited that we are so, so, so close.  If there is people out there that really love the arts and want to keep that strong and alive in Faribault we invite them to give us a call 507-332-7372,  Ask to talk to me or you can send me an email at director@paradisecenterforthearts.org. and I'll be happy to answer any questions that people might have."

Nelson is impressed that they have been able to raise this amount during a pandemic saying, "It was a pretty robust effort to that was made by all the people who have become members of the 100 Club.  To think that we have raised almost $250,000 dollars during a pandemic is pretty amazing."

Nelson gave details about arts education classes, theater, comedy and musical acts coming to Faribault this month.
