Each week I’ll share a picture and a little bit about a pet that is available for adoption and waiting to find a good home. If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your home, pet adoption can be a very rewarding way to do so. Check out this week’s Pet of the Week and then check back next week to see a new furry friend looking for a fur-ever home.

Meet Donut, a Chi puppy who is about 14 weeks old. He is small, currently about 3.8 pounds, but not expected to get above 10 pounds when fully grown. He likes being held, getting treats and playing. He gets along well with other dogs, but would do best with smaller dogs.

Donut is neutered and is current on his vaccinations. He is pad training and house training should come soon. If you’re interested in learning more about Donut, or about another pet available for adoption, visit pawsfirst.petfinder.com or facebook.com/pawsfirstrescue.

Paws First Rescue is a 501(c3) foster-based rescue group.
