Established in March of 1969, Marino’s Cafe was the dream of Mary Marino. She with her sons Jimmy and Louie set up a business on Central Avenue, in Northeast Minneapolis. The business outgrew that location on Central and then moved to the corner of NE 22nd Ave and NE Johnson Street as been operating as a deli//catering place since 1985.
The news of the closing hit some folks hard online.
The deli will be the only Marino's in operation in terms of walk-in meal/food service, beginning September 6th. The deli will be open Monday's - Saturday's 11am -7pm. You can follow them also on social media here.
