Last Friday, The Power 96 Cool One was Accept's "Midnight Mover" from their sixth studio album, Metal Heart. Released in March 1985, the album charted at No. 96 on the U.S. Billboard 200, No. 50 in the UK and No. 13 in Germany. The video for "Midnight Mover" is a wild ride with cameras positioned all around the band, giving the illusion that they're spinning, stopping briefly here and there, to give the viewer a glimpse of one of the band members.

One of the other tracks released as a single from Metal Heart was "Screaming for a Love-Bite," but that's a Cool One for another time. Another song you might remember from these guys is "Balls to the Wall," the title track from their 1983 release. A great live album from these pioneers of speed metal is 1990's Staying A Life.

Join me this afternoon, at 4:35PM, when we slow things down with a little old band out of Texas on the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
