Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One featured Asia's "Days Like These" from their Then and Now album released in August 1990. This album debuted at No. 114 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has the distinction of containing half greatest hits songs and half new studio songs, thus the then and now reference. "Days Like These" was one of those new studio tunes and was released as a single, where it went to No. 64 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

I mentioned in yesterday's Cool One Recap that Asia was a supergroup formed in 1981. The original band members all were veterans of other national acts at one time or another and included former King Crimson, Roxy Music and Uriah Heep bassist/vocalist John Wetton, Yes guitarist Steve Howe, Yes and The Buggles keyboard player Geoff Downes and Emerson Lake and Palmer's drummer Carl Palmer.
