Yesterday's Power 96 Cool One came from Canadian rock band Glass Tiger. I spotlighted the title track from their 1986 debut release, Thin Red Line. Better known for it's No. 2 U.S. Billboard Hot 100 hit, "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)," and the No. 7 Hot 100 hit, "Someday," I opted to play my favorite track on the album, "Thin Red Line," which even though it was released as a single, failed to chart here in the U.S. but went to No. 17 on the Canadian charts.

Lead singer Alan Frew is a Scottish transplant who moved to Canada with his parents and formed the band Tokyo in 1983 from a combination of members from two local bands, Onyx and The End. Frew recently suffered a stroke that affected the right side of his body on September 20 of this year. By the way, fellow Canadian Bryan Adams guests on the single "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)".
