On Tuesday I wasn't sure what song I wanted to feature as my Power 96 Cool One. I decided to peruse some compilation discs we have here at the station when I came across this short-lived band from New York City, formed in the early '90s, called Gods Child. They had one hit titled "Everybodys 1," which came from their debut July 1994 release Everybody. This track fared well on the charts, peaking at No. 25 on the U.S. Billboard Modern Tracks chart and No. 18 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The other single from the album, "Stone Horses," and the album failed to chart.

Gods Child would go on to release one more album, Aluminum, before changing their name and putting out two more albums, Dream This and A Racoons Lunch, under the name Joe 90.

Join me this afternoon, at 4:35PM, to find out what today's Power 96 Cool One brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault or online at www.kellysautosalvage.com.
