Terrible Ted was my choice for yesterday's Power 96 Cool One. For some reason I had Ted Nugent's music stuck in my head all day so I thought what the heck, I'll use him as my Cool One. I chose a live track titled "Yank Me, Crank Me" from his 1978 release Double Live Gonzo. This is an album filled with live versions of many of the Nuge's early hits and fan favorites like "Cat Scratch Fever," "Free-For-All," "Great White Buffalo," "Just What the Doctor Ordered," "Stranglehold" and many more. Yesterday's Cool One and the song "Gonzo" are the only original tracks on the album. "Yank Me, Crank Me" peaked at No. 58 on the U.S. Billboard 100 and the album made it to No. 13 on the U.S. charts.

Nugent's live albums tend to have very interesting titles like Double Live Gonzo; Intensities in Ten Cities, my all-time favorite live album title; Full Bluntal Nugity; Motor City Mayhem and Ultralive Ballisticrock.

This afternoon's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, features an artist whose album came out on this day in 1997. Please join me at 4:35PM today to find out who it is.
