Randolph Rockets senior fastpitch hurler Morgyn Otte threw her 9th career no-hitter today in a 16-1 five inning victory over Alden-Conger/Glenville Emmons.

It was the future Southwest State University of Marshall player's 4th no-hit performance of this season.  The 14-0 Rockets have seen Otte pitch nine shutouts.  In 66 innings she has allowed 21 hits.

Head Coach Dennis Trom told KDHL, "Remember she missed last season.  Morgyn has re-written the pitching records at Randolph and would have shattered many of them by bigger margins had she pitched a 2020 season."

Otte struck out 6 and had no walks.  She threw 54 pitches, 37 strikes.

Randolph had 17 hits led by Megan Erickson with 3 hits and 4 RBI.  Erickson clubbed a two run home run in the third inning.  She added a sacrifice fly RBI and run scoring single.

Otte also had a good day at the plate with 3 hits, 2 RBI.  Carly Kimmes had 2 hits including a double, 3 RBI.  Meredith Taylor actually had the most hits with 4 for 2 RBI.

Those four hittters are at the top of the Rockets batting order.  Randolph hosts Houston 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Rockets baseball team also blanked AC/GE 10-0.  Jacob Weckop threw a one hitter in the five inning game.

Randolph had 11 hits, AC/GE committed 9 errors in the game.  Nathan Weckop cranked two doubles with three hits, 2 RBI.  Brandon Gerster had 2 hits including an RBI double.  Mason Lorenzen  2 hits, RBI.  Jack Roberge also had 2 hits in the lopsided affair.

The Rockets had 7 stolen bases in the game.  They are 13-0 and travel to Houston Thursday then they host Cannon Falls Saturday in a game scheduled to be broadcast on KDHL, 920 AM, 97.9 FM and on the KDHL app.
