Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department held an "emergency" swearing-in ceremony to bolster its ranks for Friday's presidential visit.

Seven new recruits were officially sworn in Friday so they could help staff the Rochester Police Department's response to President Trump's campaign rally at the Rochester Airport. The police department shared the news through a Facebook post, and while there was described as an "emergency" swearing-in, the ceremony was only sped up by a matter of days. The original plan was to hold the swearing-in on November 4th.

A spokesperson for the Rochester Police Department identified the new officers as Tracy Asche, Brooke Baker, Mitchell Fitzgerald, Taylor Holty, Jessica Peterson, Tam Eng Seng, and Sergio Torres.
