Schwan's may be considering selling the company. Yes that company that visits your neighborhood(I know it does mine,) with that delicious ice cream and other products is considering putting themselves up for sale.

A CNBC report says the Marshall-based company has hired an investment bank to consider options that include a potential sale. CNBC sources said the company is working with Piper Jaffray and cautioned Schwan's could decide to sell the company in pieces or not at all.

Schwan's got started 1948. Today, they have more than 12,000 employees, make Tony's pizza and Mrs. Smith's pies. Forbes ranks Schwan's as one of the country's largest private companies. A potential deal could value Schwan's at more than $2.5 billion.
