A three-vehicle crash Saturday evening left one man with life-threatening injuries on Highway 13 at 220th Street in Spring Lake Township. The Minnesota State Patrol listed the driver of the 2013 Kia Soul, 66-year-old John Mullenmeister of Prior Lake, as having sustained the life-threatening injuries.  Mullenmeister was taken to Hennepin County HealthCare.

The crash was reported at 5:43 P.M. on Highway 13 at 220th Street as an eastbound 2016 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by 48-year-old Chad Svendsen of Lakeville, "failed to stop at a stop sign" at Highway 13 and collided with the northbound 2013 Kia Soul driven by Mullenmeister.

Upon hitting the Kia the F-150 "rolled several times". As the F-150 was rolling it went over an SUV which was sitting westbound on 220th, waiting to turn left onto Highway 13. Two of the five occupants in the SUV suffered what the State Patrol reported as non-life threatening injuries. Inside the SUV at the time of the crash were 3 juveniles none of which were injured as the F-150 rolled onto it.

According to the State Patrol's report road conditions at the time of the crash were dry. Also responding to the crash scene were Scott County Sheriff's Office, Allina Health EMS, LifeLink iii, and New Prague Fire.
