Six People Hurt -Two Taken to Hospital – After Four Vehicle Crash in Byron
Byron, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two people were transported to St. Marys Hospital following a four-vehicle crash in Byron Sunday morning.
The State Patrol and other emergency responders were sent to the crash site at the junction of Highway 14 and 10th Avenue around 11:30 am. The State Patrol says all four vehicles were headed west when a pickup truck driven by 67-year-old David Hain of Kasson crashed into the back of a minivan, causing it to crash into another minivan and a car that had stopped at the intersection.
The driver and passenger in the first minivan, 71-year-old Larry and 65-year-old Patricia Smith of Pine Island, were brought to Rochester for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.ha
The other six people involved in the crash were either not hurt or were treated for minor injuries at the scene, including a family of four in the car that was stopped at the intersection.
