The University of Minnesota Extension Service will be hosting a Soil Function Field Day this Friday September 9, 2022 at Brent Fuch's Farm by Fox Lake. The key question is "How can management alter soil properties and field logistics?" There will be a number of local farmers there to discuss operations timing, labor and quality of life.

Extension Educator Soil Health Specialists Anna Crates will be there along with other University of Minnesota Extension researchers to present data about how different management practices can affect how fields respond to extreme weather events, retain water and build soil structure. In addition there will be a soil pit as you can not have a soil field day without a soil pit right?

Brent Fuch's field is located south of Fox Lake at 140 th St. W. which is just across from the Fox Lake public access road. The time of the Soil Function Field Day is 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no charge and lunch is included FREE. Plus, you do not have to pre-register, you can just show up!
